Community Lending and Micro-Loans

San Juan Development Association has worked hard over the last two decades to develop resources for Silverton and San Juan County that truly support and cultivate start-up and growing businesses.  The most successful of these efforts has been the micro-lending division of SJDA.  Loans fall into two categories:  Micro-Lending (loans up to $10,000) and Community Lending (loans from $10,000 to $50,000).

SJDA has built the fund to nearly $120,000 of funds in active lending in under 10 years.

Current loan recipients include:
     -Venture Snowboards for facility development
-Bruce Conrad for law enforcement job training
-San Juan Sweets for business acquisition

Past loan recipients have included:
-Mountain Boy Sledworks for business growth and development
-Scotty Bob's Skis for business growth and development
-A Theatre Group for theatre program development"
